Asana conditioning

In the light of her teacher mary jarvis, this combination of movements systematically moves through the body to build body skills, awareness, strength, and mobility for reaching new depths in ones asana practice.

Maha Hatha

Slow

The slow class is an extension of the asana series. Very different, but hatha focused. These classes are centered around the brilliance of meridian theory, emotional balancing/regulating, and giving ourselves permission to feel and heal. Including breath, kriya, poses, and affirmations, the Maha Hatha Slow class is all leveled and promotes transformation and relief.

50-Hour Practice Intensive

Moving towards the practice of advanced asana as an advanced practitioner does not ask for an “advanced body” demonstrating “deep poses.” Rather, a practitioner’s willingness of the mind to move just outside a seeming comfort and without attachment towards the unknown maps an advanced yoga practitioner. This course begins the day with hatha class and completes the day with vinyasa class, offering a unifying range of mechanical understanding, diversity of positioning, and diverse practice methodology.

This open week of practice is meant to merge students and teachers passionate about the practice and interested in the powers of challenging oneself through asana. This course covers the alignment of common Hatha and vinyasa poses, asana training techniques, pranayama work, and two asana practices a day.

Psychic Development and Ayurvedic Anatomy

Working with the ancient art of tantric kriya, pranayama, meditation, and mantra, this workshop takes the focus of practice beyond the physical form to explore the powers of connecting with our subtle body to promote profound shifts within.
With the addition of the wisdom of Ayurveda, you will learn how to check your pulse, find breath exercises that can be practiced daily to enhance what is missing, and meditate together, to enliven and enrich our lives. Like attract like, meaning sometimes what we are most drawn to will continue creating an imbalance in the body. Learning to read your pulse is something that can be done on your own daily to make sure you are giving yourself what you need to live a balanced life of yoga.

Bikram Yoga

Gianna is a certified Bikram teacher studying with Emmy Cleaves, Bikram Choudary, Rashashri Choudary, and Mary Jarvis. Her Bikram classes and workshops are meant to decode the anatomy secrets to practice this class for a lifetime, ways to find new depths, and how to get what it is you need out of your practice. Gianna also leads the Advanced 84 Asana Ghosh series and leads trainings and immersive courses on the practice.

Maha Hatha: Inversions and Strength, backbends And twists, hips and spits, Spinal Extension and flexion

Gianna created the Maha Hatha series as a means to focus our movements and practices on something specific to reach surprising new heights, be it physical or emotions. This class uses kriya and pranayama, asana, traditional Hatha technics, FRC, and wall work to move the body healthfully to a peak pose. There is a library full of these classes to take on the on demand section of the Siddhi School of Yoga site.

Mortality Education

Life is a complete circle that includes death. It should not be spent avoiding the second most significant transformation that will ever go through. Death is a beautiful process that can create deep growth for all parties. This sacred passage is avoided so greatly during life and during the dying process that we are often missing its gifts. A Sacred Passage Doula's work is meant to add dignity, beauty, and value to death for the growth of all people.
